TAKE A STAND

A designers take on an issue that is very much still prevalent today. This project was designed in 2019 regarding issues of women and workplace harassment. Following this issues we have today this topic is very much still relevant. I used my own style to portray how women can feel at work following different actions and comments from co-workers. I did this by creating a handwritten font that is legible but lightly aggressive and layering it on top of what could be seen as "notebook paper" with different quotes taken from the website "The Everyday Sexism" about women's interactions at work. This is one of the projects I am most proud of and will potentially continue to expand in the future.

The 3 images below are from the research phase. Gathering numbers and quotes from women about their different experiences of sexism and harassment at work.

The below images are scans of the handwritten font that was used for the final poster images. The font was later added into illustrator and tweaked slightly to fit the correct dimensions and axis'.

Here is the collection of final posters created, these include quotes from real women that were submitted to "The Everyday Sexism" project online.
